Field test: Neewer 52mm ND Fader Neutral Density Adjustable Variable Filter (ND2 to ND400)

This was just under on Amazon. I didn’t see any information on it anywhere, so I put up some test footage. I’m basically just going from the MIN and turning to where it isnt over exposed. Its a good way to maintain a given shutter speed, aperture and ISO. I also have a knockoff Hoya Pro 1 UV filter in between the camera and nd filter. I know, spend $ $ $ $ on a camera and $ $ $ on a lens, then $ on everything else. But I need to experiment to see what I really need, and can always upgrade to better stuff later. The video is kinda shaky, as I started the video 7 miles into my hike, and the bugs started attacking me. Too tired to break out the monopod. Removed audio as its either just wind, bugs zipping around, or me cursing at said bugs. Using YT music to bypass the copyright hassle. Until I’m better at filming, this ND filter is good enough, especially for the $ $ . The best accessory I have for the 60D, aside from the 3″ Carry Speed LCD View Finder. Video taken at Rancho San Antonio, top of PG&E Trail.

Excellent for the price – really liked it!,
This is an inexpensive rubberized case. I brought it to work – everyone, including me, thought it looked awesome & fairly unique. It does not cover any critical part of the screen and feels like it won’t slip out of my hands or off a surface very easily. It is no more or no less flimsy than other rubberized (silicone) cases. I have seen better ones out there, but I can tell this one will last me two years (I rarely if ever take the case off once its been put on. The tire tread look is terrific. I’m very happy with this item & the price is great too.

not-so-great,
It looks cool but is too big and easily comes off. This happens when I pull the phone out of my pocket or on the occasion when I dropped it and it came completely off.

not impressed,
i used to have a case-mate silicone cover that was great until it started to fade after about a year. Bought this one thinking it would be similar but just a couple of weeks after i started using it, it started falling off pretty much anytime i handled my phone. I’d stick it in my pocket and the case would slide off when i took it out; i’d try to put it in my messenger bang and the case would flop off so much so that i could hardly get it in. this case looks nice but it WILL NOT PROTECT YOUR PHONE. every time i drop my phone the case is the first thing to fall off.

Once you find a good frequency for it…it works pretty good.,
I bought this for my girlfriends 16gb ipod touch 2g. This is a very simple piece of equpment to use, simply plug it into your phone, find a radio station frequency that has a bunch of static, tune your transmitter to it and like magic…your music is playing on your radio.
This works great in my girlfriends car, but i found myself having a bit of trouble finding a decent frequency to use when i was in my car. This only happened a few times, and after removing my antennae we had no problems. Something that needs to be mentioned is that this product comes with a remote control for your transmitter! This was a pleasant surprised because i dont think i read anything about that.
Keep in mind this transmitter is going to perform best if the ipod is sitting still and not being moved around too much. I noticed that sometimes when my girl was touching the actual transmitter, it would make a loud bass noise through the radio. So its best to put your ipod on shuffle and just let it go.
The audio quality is great once you find a frequency that works for you. The little things i have mentioned were not a big problem…we can always get it to work fine with some tweaking. But i took a star off this review because we received a black transmitter…not silver like the description states. This may seem trivial, but you should get what your paying for…
Anyhow, if youre looking for a cheap way to wirelessly transmit your ipod to your fm radio…and you dont want to use a car charger…or cassette adaptor everytime. This transmitter is for you. Great price, and all in all…a great purchase.

suprised…,
i wasn’t expecting much for the price i paid for this thing. i lost my itrip, which is almost exactly identical to this product, just about 50 dollars more. really good sound quality, and is very compatible with my ipod touch. love it, don’t waste your money on something apple is selling.

Reception Is Poor….Other Brands Were Much Better Working,
I tried this one and I tried another one Amazon sells for $29.99 (called a Jam Cast by I Essentials)…the other one worked much better at locking in stations. I realize a lot of it is based on your surroundings and not always the fault of the unit…however, using the same car, in same location, the other brand unit pulled in signals significantly better than this $10 unit did. I wanted to like it at 1/3 the price but it just didn’t work well enough for me. The other one that did work great was the Jam Cast…not only did it work great, it fit the phone better too…the width was the same as my Iphone and it had an identical looking button to the Iphones on the bottom. The only drawback to the Jam Cast is that you push a button and the stations seek out one…you can’t go backwards (or if you can, I haven’t figured it out yet). As far as using them, both are very simple to use…plug and play…the cheaper one that didn’t work as well also came with a wireless remote…nice touch but not something I would ever use…I am using this in my car, not at home.
